Congratulations to the Delta Angels who competed this past Canada Day long weekend in the 23rd  Annual Burnaby Invitational Championships at Squint Lake in Burnaby. Out of 22 teams participating our Angels placed 3rd in the A division, believed to be the highest placing by a Delta team since 2004!

After only practicing together for 4 weeks they went up against teams that have been playing together for years and got everyone talking that they are a team to watch. After going undefeated in 4 games they started the playoffs by defeating the Tri City Titans 5-4 then going up against North Langley for the most exciting game the Angels have played so far. The girls came close but were defeated in the last inning 4-5. These girls answered back in a big way defeating South Surrey thunder 13-3 to win 3rd place overall!
Congratulations Angels!

KidSport Delta is annually gifting over $20,000 to the children of Delta.  This past fall was the greatest amount of applicants we have had.  We were taken off guard and did not have enough money in the bank.  That was our motivation to do a major fundraiser to support the kids of Delta.  April 30th at Tsawwassen Springs we are hosting the "Gift of Sport Fundraiser".
